Anna & Ian Burnett
In 2017, Anna and Ian were 10 years old when they created this story with a powerful message about the importance of being a responsible dog owner. They love their family pet, a Dalmatian named Becky, very much. It was Becky who inspired and helped create this wonderful world of the Queen of Spotland.
Meet the authors:
Initially, the twin brother and sister focused on Becky's energetic and mischievous behavior. Over time, however, the plot evolved into a story within a story, incorporating several themes that any young reader will find interesting and relatable. Although "The Queen of Spotland" is Anna and Ian's debut as authors, they have together authored and illustrated two more children's stories. In 2024, Anna also created short animations, "Soccer Ball" and "Chaos Space Orbs," for younger kids.
